do all haswell/devils canyon cpus use the same ihs?

I have a overclocked 4790k with a scratch on the ihs, which might hurt temps a little. The cpu is delidded, and I also have a 4570, also delidded. The 4570 has a clean ihs with no scratches. If I put the 4570 ihs onto my 4790k, could i notice a temp drop? Is the ihs made exactly the same for all haswell/dc cpus (except the text on it obviously)

The scratch has to be absolutely massive in order for it to make a difference in temps, and by massive I mean more like a chunk taken out of the middle. Even a deep scratch isn't going to do anything for the temps of it.

If you really don't believe us, you could lap the CPU as that at least has a technical possibility of improving temps while effectively removing the scratch, though lapping doesn't really help with air cooled chips, and is only mildly helpful at best with water cooled chips. It's not going to be worth the time/effort to do IMO.

That is literally, exactly, 125% what thermal paste was invented for.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.
