Wie bereits kurz erwähnt, investiere ich momentan meine Erfolgsbeteiligung in gewisse DIY-Projekte. 

Eins davon ist heute "fertig" geworden - das Ambilight. (Bilder am Ende)

 

Wer jetzt nicht weiß, was das ist: RGB-LEDs auf Rückseite des Bildschirms (meist Fernseher), deren Farbe sich dem aktuellen Bild anpasst.

 

Zur Umsetzung habe ich dafür meinen leblos rumliegenden RPi2 genutzt und ein paar Kleinteile bei Amazon bestellt.

Genau genommen Netzteil, HDMI-Splitter, HDMI-AV-Wandler, WS2801-LED-Streifen (aus China wäre deutlich billiger gewesen) und Videograbber.

Die Verbindungskabel habe ich mir selber gelötet. Auf dem Pi kommt dann "Hyperion" zur Berechnung der RGB-Werte aus dem durch Splitter, AV-Wandler und Grabber abgefangenen Bildsignales zum Einsatz und steuert dann die WS2801-Controller per SPI-Bus auf dem GPIO-Interface an (3 Pins - Masse, Takt und Signalsequenz).

Nachteil hierbei ist natürlich, dass ich nur externe HDMI-Geräte mit dem Ambilight nutzen kann - der interne DVB-S2-Receiver oder meine Xbox (SCART) sind so nicht möglich, brauche ich aber auch nicht. SCART ließe sich sogar noch auf Composite wandeln und an den Grabber übergeben aber das ist alles unnötiger Aufwand für das gute alte Star Wars Battlefront 2 :P

Letztendlich ist die verwendete Software "Hyperion" aber schon wieder mehrfach erneuert worden, wodurch besagte "Guides" eher unbrauchbar wurden und das Setup war intuitives Gebastel, also wie immer ;)

 

Die Farben bedürfen noch ein wenig Kalibrierung aber ansonsten bin ich mit dem Ergebnis schon sehr zufrieden :)

Aber es geht grad nicht so super viel ab :D

 

Ach und was meint ihr bei welchem Händler ich am besten neue Hardware bestellen kann?
Ich hab vor den FX 8350 durch nen i5 6600K und nem Asrock Fatal1ty (der DDR4 Version) auszutauschen.

Ach ja, und 1-2 Monate später fliegen auch noch die beiden GTX 760 und es kommt ne GTX 1060 oder RX480 rein, je nachdem was sich als besser herausstellt ^^

Shopvorschläge in hinsicht auf günstigster preis und Reputation?

 

Main PC: R7 3700X / Gigabyte X570 I Aorus Pro Wifi / Radeon RX 5700 XT / 32GB DDR4-3200 / 250GB & 2TB Crucial MX500 (in HP Prodesk 400 Case)

Laptop: R5 2500U / Radeon Vega 8 / 8GB DDR4-2400 / 500GB SK Hynix BC501 (HP Envy x360 13)

My little Server: i7-7700 / Asrock H110M-ITX / 24GB DDR4-2400 / Samsung 860 Pro 250GB & Seagate Firecuda 2TB / VMware ESXi 6.7

Alternate.de ist mein Shop der Wahl. Seid Jahren zuverlässig, aber nicht unbedingt der günstigste. Caseking is auch ganz gut.

Alternate wenn's dir das Geld wert ist.

Ich persönlich tendiere immer zu Caseking, auch etwas teurer aber ist's mir wert.

Mindfactory wenn du nen guten Deal kriegst, da ist Gold-Level-Service aber Pflicht.

Ansonsten guck mal bei heise wo's günstig ist, viele kleineren Shops sind auch ziemlich gut.

Dann sind da noch HoH.de (Home of Hardware), getgoods.de (gleiche GmbH), playIT und ggf notebooksbilliger.de

Ich kann Mindfactory.de auch empfehlen. 

 

Hab da nahezu meinen kompletten PC bestellt, als ich ihn gekauft habe. Nur die SSD gabs von Amazon wegen Aktionspreis und die Cablemod Kabel von Caseking, weil sie die nicht im Programm hatten. 

 

 

 

gestern Abend ist auch noch ein Paket von Mindfactory angekommen :D

Meine 970er wird ersetzt, die hat mit ihren 3,5gb Speicher hart zu kämpfen genug Frames für meinen monitor zu halten. 3440x1440 ist halt ne Hausnummer und die 970er hats bei aktuellen Spielen leider nicht ganz gepackt. 

 

Aber ich denke mal die Power sollte ausreichen:

Uuhhh.. nett. Aber anhand von Bildern im Netz ist zu raten die WLP der Strix zu erneuern. Soll wohl die übelste Spar-Version drauf sein die miserabel leitet

derzeit läuft sie bei 54°C im Idle ohne Lüfter. Das würde ich als "normal" einstufen

 

lass jetzt mal Heaven eine Zeit lang laufen. Derzeit bin ich bei 71°C und 50% Fan Speed unter voller Last ohne Drosseln. 

 

Hab dem Chip auch direkt nen bisschen Feuer unter dem hintern gemacht. Jedoch verwundert mich die Anzeige von dem GPU Tweak II Tool im Vergleich zu Heaven ein bisschen. 

Heaven sagt meine GPU läuft auf 2062MHz, GPU Tweak sagt aber es sind nur 2000MHz o.O Eingestellt habe ich selber 120% Power Limit, und GPU Boost Clock von 1982 MHz (+84)

Wundert mich ein wenig, dass ich direkt 3 Werte habe.

Variiert bei mir. Teils, teils. Mit Gold-Service gehts halt bei Problemen doch recht fix. Ich hatte vor allem viele DOA-Fälle bei MF. Die Support-Probleme waren eher bei @KamiKatze , @virtualTune und @TheTiger (glaube ich zumindest)

Ich muss sagen, ich hatte mit Alternate schon deutlich mehr Probleme, als mit Mindfactory.

Jo merkwürdig. Schon für paar tausend bei Alternate bestellt, noch nie gabs irgendwelche Probleme mit Service oder Umtausch ect.

Bei Mindfactory ging dagegen alles schief, dazu unverschämter "Service" bis ich den Shop entgültig zu den Akten gelegt habe.
