Beyerdynamic dt 990 pro (Rodecaster duo vs Sound BlasterX G6) best audio

Hi I have a question I recently bought a Rodecaster duo last year but I returned it I was wondering if the Rodecaster duo is better than the Sound BlasterX G6 for audio because I get a higher and better volume or maybe I was doing something wrong with the Rodecaster duo my headsets that I'm using are Beyerdynamic dt 990 pro I have two PCS and an Elgato wave XLR, Shure sm7b but I want to use one device to work for all can anyone help me or give me advice

buy an amp and use one of the products as a pre-amp?  The rodecaster duo only put's out 250mw but doesn't give any other specifications so I wouldn't count on it to power much.  The Schiit Magni+ and Heretic are on close-out right now, would be perfect.

To play off of this for the 990 I would reccomend the magni over the heretic if you go this route. The 990 due to it being sharp sounds even sharper on op amp based amps I know the differences between the heretic and magni are subtle it's genuinely enough to avoid going with a heretic imo. Good Discrete power just sounds better on beyers.

It's really difficult to say if it will work optimally but I can say it will work for sure.

 

The reason I say that I don't know if it will work "optimally" is because you don't want an amplified signal going into an amplifier.  However the output's with a speaker on them lead me to believe that they are line level because they certainly aren't powered enough to drive speakers.  (picture shown from sweetwater)

 

 

The headphone out's are certainly powered and it looks like there are 4 of them?

 

I hate it when a manufacturer doesn't include specs that are thorough enough.  But I believe that a dual 1/4" TS to RCA cable will work for this when plugged into the output with a speaker.  This is my best guess.
