Little brothers build

Go to solution Solved by PowerPCFan,

@Spicybaja How about something like this? Clean all-white build. If you don't like all-white builds, just change case, cooler, GPU to black.

Broski got the Champ of a Little Brother....

I'd go for an used Ryzen 7 5800X MoBo+CPU+RAM Combi [arround 500$] and then go for an RX 6750XT Mech [380$ i think] if you can somehow get the 80$ it will be soo worth it for that build.

Also: Please enable XMP/D.O.H.C before asking why your ram is too slow.

Still have the 5800X3D to upgrade to for more performance in the future. And plenty of GPU power for 1080p and 1440p high refresh in esports games.
Unfortunately at the lower price point both AM4 and Intel 12th/13th/14th gen are EOL, so you have to buy AM5 for future products at this point in time, but that puts the price point higher. AM4 still has a lot of life and performance to give though, and this should be more than capable for the games your brother plays, with room to grow.

wheres a good place to find the used parts

Fb marketplace is also a decent place to find used parts

Dont bother with new am4 cause a used midranger b3/450 is like 50$ and thats for boards like the gaming plus/tomahawk and they are far superior to any new <100$ b550

Also dont bother with new am4 cpus except the 5700x3d are complete ripoffs, 5600(x) are 80-100$ with 5700x/5800x being 120-150$ and 5800x3d at 200-250$

At this budget you could go for a used 5700x/5800x + 6900xt/6950xt combo or a 5700x3d/5800x3d (200-250$) + 6800xt/3080 (300-400$), no cutting down rams to 16gb since 32gb is cheap especially if you buy used oem sticks (lazy oc to 3800 and destroy xmp sticks)

Youll mainly be able to cut costs with used mobos, psus, and used cases since used boards are just better for the price, same goes for used psus (850w rmx or equivalent are 40-60$ used and far superior to whatever new warrantyless pos you can find and that price), and used cases are alot cheaper than new and you may even be able to snag one for free from someone trying to get rid of old cases
