I turned my Thinkpad x270 into a x370 and I'm not proud of it.

I basically took a perfectly good laptop, probably my favorite laptop I've owned, and make it objectively worse in numerous ways.

 

The laptop comes with a 16:9 12.5" display. 
It now has a 16:10 13.3" display. I shoved it in there. 

It also no longer has a WWAN antenna, no webcam, no lid detection, and the WLAN antennas are glued to the outside of the lid.

Oh, and the LCD bezel is now gorilla tape.

I attempted to re-solder the WLAN antennas. In retrospect this was not a good idea as they no longer functioned properly after.

I was going to say one of the few redeemable things about this project is I can sit back and say "I did it" but I'm not exactly sure if that's something I want to tell anyone.

 

It is a living tribute to my obstinance.
