Question about Washing Different Products

Hey everyone,

I have bought a few products from the store. LTT clothing is the first time I have spent any real amount of money on clothing (I usually buy from Walmart, target, etc.) and am worried I will ruin my clothes from washing them wrong. Some of the things (like the plain t-shirts) have wash instruction on them and I have been following them with fine results. Although some of the other Items I have don't seem to have wash instructions and wanted to see what others are doing when cleaning them. The first up are the flannels. The way I have been washing these are Cold & Gentle wash then put on hanger to dry. The items I am super skeptical to wash are my three jackets. I have the Indoor Hoodie, The Wan Hoodie, and the Swacket. Drying is where I am worried I wall make a mistake. The indoor hoodie I feel like will be fine to hang dry, but the other two seem like they would be to thick to hang dry fast enough and may start to sower. The last thing I have is one of the mouse pads. I have been wiping it off with a wet cloth every so often, but wasn't sure if anyone had found a good way to get them clean.

Thanks for any help all.

All the clothing items you enumerated have care (including washing) instructions on their LTT store web page, in the "product information" section.

Most cotton fabric is fine in normal "daily" program with 40C and medium level of spinning. If it's something else than cotton, there might be note about lower temperature and using less aggressive spinning.

Also, machine drying is generally bad for making any fabric last longer.

Thank you both for your replies. I didn't even think about looking at the product page, i just looked at the tag area. Dummy mistake, thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

My general rules for washing:

  • Always use cold water
  • Separating by colour isn't really necessary when using cold water. Instead sort by roughness. I.e. have your socks, plaid shirts and towels in one load, underwear and LTT t-shirts in another.
  • If it is stretchy don't use high heat in the dryer.  Go low heat for longer. Ideally air dry.
  • Mousepads you can just huck in the clothes washer, hang dry.

Thank you for this. Especially knowing I can throw the mouse pad in the wash. For obvious reasons, it's prone to some splashes of coffee hitting it.
