Buying a rtx 3060/3050 gaming laptop vs buying a ktm Duke 390 motorcycle at the same price

VirusDumb

Now I'll be going to college soon and there's 2 things I'll need in college, a laptop and a personal transport like a car or a bike

Now I've never owned a high end PC and I really wanted something with a great GPU like rtx 3060 so I could play GTA 6 on it by the time it comes out or gets leaked but those run me around likeScreenshot_2023-12-27-19-20-25-53.thumb.jpg.0e43f896478c430298630647aa87e927.jpg

for that much I can get a used KTM Duke 390 like

Even for something lower like an rtx 3050 which are likeScreenshot_2023-12-27-19-17-31-22.thumb.jpg.9f14f353899151ecd00bbcc11821a44e.jpg

I can still get a 390 duke

Now I need a laptop for a lot of stuff and I also need a motorcycle because those are used like cars here in India to commute to places and go on touring sometimes so is it justify able to get a laptop worth more than a big motorcycle (390 is relatively big as compared to sub 200cc motorcycles common in India) or should I just get a laptop with a GTX 1650

What are taxes, insurance, and operating costs like on a 390 compared to a 200?

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

I dare to say that a 3050/3060 mobile won't give you a good experience for GTA 6 whenever it actually gets released for PC, so buying a laptop for this reason is kinda moot.

Go for the bike, it'll be more important over the long run.

Taxes are usually a percentage of the price and insurance depends on company to company and operating costs are different for each motorcycles but used bikes usually come with the taxes taken care of and even with insurance if you're lucky, it's just a matter of getting the registration certificate transferred to your name

As both a gamer and a motorcycle rider, I’d take the Duke 390 over a laptop.

My Current Setup:

AMD Ryzen 5900X

Kingston HyperX Fury 3200mhz 2x16GB

MSI B450 Gaming Plus

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

EVGA RTX 3060 Ti XC

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB

WD 5400RPM 2TB

EVGA G3 750W

Corsair Carbide 300R

Arctic Fans 140mm x4 120mm x 1

Motorcycle. Don't buy now for a game that hasn't even been announced for PC yet.

You'll enjoy reliable transportation more than the laptop, especially in college.

Thing is I'll need both and have been dying to get a computer that can run games since ages, but still I need a motorcycle to go to places and just also want to enjoy riding in general, but I still will have to get a laptop for everything else

I need both reliable transport and a reliable PC to work

The thing is I need both to get stuff done, I'll have to go for a more potato laptop with that or get a cheaper 150cc bike

Knowing nothing about the motorcycle market there, is something like a Yamaha TW200 or Suzuki VanVan 200 sold there? Not as flashy as a Duke 390 for sure, but the TW200 has been made a long time and you might be able to get an even better deal, and that could free some money for a laptop.

If my metro area here in Texas wasn’t full of 100+ kph highways, I’d be on my Grom/MSX125 a lot more than my larger motorcycle, but even here the used market for Groms/MSX125 is crazy; Getting a good deal on a used one can be difficult.
