New second SSD not showing up in windows

It is detected in the bios and when I go to device manager it shows up (WD_BLACK SN850X 4000GB) but in files it only shows my C: drive

go to disc management, and see what's there.

Depending what's in there:
1) you have to initiate it in GPT/MBR (do a GPT)
2) format a partition NTFS
3) assign a mounting letter for it.

EDIT Ps. I assume there is no your data on that SSD...

It's not giving me an option to create a new simple volume like in the video

Can you show a screenshot of what you see? Did you click on the disk at the left and initalize?

Nah, you're not stupid - you're using Disk Manglement's interface straight outta the late 1990's / early 2000's. It's confusing at the best of times. Good work formatting the drive though!
