MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK doesn't work, literally

I've just finished assembling my new Rig, isn't not the first one i assembly and so far i had almost 0 issues
Well not today cause when i turned on my PSU and pressed the power button on my case nothing happened. Literally nothing.

PSU is a Seasonic focus gx, CPU Ryzen 9 5900x MB MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK.

I've tested that the PSU works with the integrated psu tester from Seasoni
already checked the front panel connectors. Already swapped RAMs.

Maybe that a faulty CMOS causes the mb to not even lit up when i flip the power switch? I mean at least the RGB light should work right?

anyone have any other idea on how to fix?
thanks a lot

Is the switch on the PSU on? Make sure that all your cables are seated properly.

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Maybe Restart it?

Is there a light on the PSU that is illuminated when plugged into the wall outlet?

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Maybe Restart it?

Not all motherboards have lights on when powered up. If some RGB lights up when plugged, it should be the leds under then heat sink with Tomahawk written on it.

At that point, you can try your motherboard with another power supply.

I remembered that if you press the BIOS flashback button (on the rear I/O shield, there should be a small led blinking to indicate that no USB stick is present. That one should work even if no processor or RAM is installed.

Good luck !

Yes. You don't need it for BIOS flashback but it doesn't hurt if it is installed.

If you are certain that the PSU is good and the cables are all correctly plugged and your power button is good, it can only be the motherboard. Contact your seller and ask for an RMA.

If you are out of RMA or warranty period (maybe you had this board for some time), you can do an ultimate testing by using a different power supply and a different CPU in a different case just to make sure it is confirmed dead and beyond hope.

Have a nice day !

So update

I've checked on the serial number and appears to be a 2023-04 motherboard so should have already if not the latest an almost latest bios that support 5000 Ryzen

Today I'll disassembly everything and do one last try to power on the motherboard without CPU ram and GPU

If that doesn't work I give up and I'll buy the Rog strix b550

Thanks everyone for helping

Update

I've seen that my mb have a string on it with "ms-7c91 ver 2.3"
unfortunatly i can't find the exact bios from that string but i've seen another thread that stases the following

"Ok so you have version 7C91vA2"
that for ms-7c91 ver 2.1

So if i'm not mistaken i should have this bios
7C91vA4 which is from 2020

Ryzen 5000 series came out in 2021 so i have a outdated bios
also
on the package there's written "ryzen 3000" compatible while on the new package there's written "ryzen 5000" compatible

I'm using a Strix B550 myself and had no problems so far.

<Shameless plug begins>

If you are located in Canada, I recommend buying from Memory Express for online orders. They match the price of any competitor as long as it is the same product (down to the model number) and thy offer free BIOS flash with any motherboard I bought so far. Awesome customer service !

I agree that this is a bit of shady marketing. Yes, it is compatible with Ryzen 5000 as long as the BIOS is updated that there is rain in the next 5-days forecast....

Have a nice day !

That's a bit extreme. Just flash the correct bios and enjoy the system. It isn't difficult. You have bios flashback.
