But IMO it looks good because it's a new game mechanic that hasn't been done before, and it's basically GTA5 but actually awesome on PC. Plus who doesn't want to hack stuff?

It looks interesting to me. The hacking mechanic is something we have never seen done well (it HAS been done before) and it is interesting that the game revolves around it. Personally I am not too excited for it but I can understand why other people would get excited for it.

It is not a ripoff (at least from what I've seen). They are just both open world games in a city. As for depth we don't know how good it will be until later. But I haven't seen depth in AAA games for years.

I'm interested in it because I've been looking for a good open world game with a fair amount of depth to replace the hole in my heart STALKER: Call of Pripyat left. 

GTA has been plagued with shitty ports, mediocre storylines and a horrible fan base. The only redeeming quality it has are the characters Rockstar creates. I way too often find myself cheating in GTA games just to mess around with rocket launches and no gravity vehicles because going from point A to point B just isn't fun in a generic city that doesn't stand out from the rest. I don't feel like I'm a part of the virtual world when playing GTA, as opposed to games like Far Cry 3. Rook Island looks amazing, vs. the dull look of New York in GTA 4, or any map from the GTA games. 

 

What Watch Dogs is bringing to the table is a more dynamic and immersive world followed by interesting techniques like hacking, the game's main focus. There will be so much more to do, and I highly doubt I'll end up stealing cars, shooting up public places for the fun of it and take on the police in a last stand before I ALT + F4 and never play it again.

I know that feel.

It looks really cool, watched Jack Frags videos well I skipped through, it look very well made, great mechanics, great graphics, looks very interesting. Hopefully has a great story too
