Unfortunately, the RTX 4060ti has one of the best $/core ratios of the RTX 4000 series, even at $400. Although that should be the case with the mid range, which is a reason why it's usually the 'value' tier.

4090 24GB $1600-  0.0977
4080 16GB $1200-  0.123
4070ti 12GB $800- 0.104
4070 12GB $600-   0.102
4060ti 8GB $400-  0.0920

4060 8GB $300-    0.0977

RTX 4070 12GB $550 - 0.093

RTX 4060ti 8GB $370- 0.085

What my hopes are:

RTX 4080 16GB @ 0.090 ratio- $875, even $900 would be 'not bad'.

RTX 4070 12GB at $500 would sufficiently disrupt the market.

Meh. 5-10% price premium over the 3060 ti (those still available) for about 10% more performance. Not exactly inspiring stuff.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Isn't the 8GB 3070 for $380 or the 12 GB RX 6700 XT for $320 the more viable options?

The 3070 gives you double the memory bus at 256 bits, a higher 93 degrees max operating temp, just over 35% more shaders and a little more fps, depending on the game of course.

For just $320 the 6700 XT gives you 12 GB of VRAM.

The 4060 Ti is laughably bad my friend, it should cost $300 not $370...
