Room for upgrades, side panel, plenty of airflow, big, etc.

Solid construction, good ventilation, able to fit a full size graphic card, room for cable management, fan filters for the PSU and front intake, aesthetically pleasing, water cooling capable or easily modable.

Cooler Master Cases are pretty good and relatively inexpensive but you will not able to fit a custom loop in their budget offerings.

Biggest for me is all metal. I also think of mods I would like to do even before I buy the case. I'm getting a 750d soon but I already know I'll cover the front panel in dark wood for uber sexiness.

Dust filters. Good looks. Not necessarily metal, but strong good quality plastics are fine. Good mechanism for removing the front panel. Preferably screws over rivets. Decent watercooling options (240rad at least for anything larger than mITX). 170mm+ for CPU coolers preferably.

Sound deadening, sound deadening, oh and did I mention sound deadening, also good dust filters, not looking like a space ship and sound deadening.

Not to daft on front panel doors but if it opens the correct way this may be forgiven.

Definately don't like clips made of easily breakable plastic or easily bendable metal, much prefer screws, and screws rather than rivets
