Maybe a video for the staff only, so they can do some damage control 😄

It's live on Floatplane already and new CEO is first up in the vid

Those posts were posted 4 hours ago, the video was probably shot by then. And he has already said that those will not be publicly addressed.

Live in reality.

Yeah, so they had 4 hours to see the accusations, posted to their own forum and edit the video... Oh wait, that'd cost time and money, wouldn't it.

I think that this may be a blessing in disguise for lmg finnaly enough to make quality content that the team will be proud of for once (hopefully) and less let's test a 40$ mic seriously!

This is not the time for a floatplane exclusive ffs

Notice a pattern how he uses the platforms that get the least amount of traffic to make statements and opinions on. All platforms he can explicitly control the narrative and where all the hardend fanboys will have his back.

Linus only talked about the billetlab issue (what people really care about) for like 3 minutes in the 20 minute apology video.

I actually think the billetlab thing is completely a drama over nothing. LTT made a mistake. even big mistakes happen, and have offered to pay whatever they have to make it right. That offer may have come after the GN video but we don't actually know Linus was aware of the problem before the point at which the offer went out.

I cared far more about the issue of accuracy in video. But now our focus should be on the issues maddison has raised.

Please get you priorities in line.

I might be experienced, but I'm human and I do make mistakes. Expand for common PC building advice, a short bio and a list of my components and other tech. I edit my messages after sending them alot, please refresh before posting your reply. Please try to be clear and specific, you'll get a better answer. Please remember to mark solutions once you have the information you need.

Common build advice: 1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticably improve performance past 240mm.

They are literally trying to profit of an alleged apology video, lmao.
Making it floatplane "exclusive" is such a disrespect, what the hell is wrong with you guys??? 😬

I said live in reality to you, because seriously it appears that you do not. Just because this issue is at the centre of your world its may not be at the centre of others.

People have families, people have to eat, people have to film videos, people need to have meetings, people need to have meetings about meetings, people need to edit videos.

Given the sensitivity and the large mob waiting for a response video, you can see why this would have been the focus, not exactly an ex employee for a grind to axe (whether that be true or false accusation).

What's more important, getting the highest possible viewership on a video or editing completely pointless jokes out of an apology video after sexual assault accusations come out? Hmm

Yo dog a mistake is sliping and falling. A mistake isn't selling off someones one of a kind piece of hardware too the highest bidder without their permission and then reviewing it with the wrong graphics card while not using the card they sent with it.

Or the reality that Floatplane is marketing as getting LTT first and they are only making good that statement by doing exactly as they claimed.
