What's the point of 27" 4k monitors?

Guanzo

Why they make 4k res on 27" monitor size and what's the point of 27" 4k monitors? And they why didn't make 1440p on 24" size monitor?

Its just about the amount of pixel per inch on screens, 27" Is by far the best selling size, then 24" for Gaming in most of Asia, then 32". Other then that 4k is better with bigger screens, but alas most people simply dont care for it.

I understand it, great PPI.

However for my personal primary desktop, I want to run 100% display scaling and will not accept not being able to. Desktop real estate is wonderful. 32" minimum for me and 4K.

Some people may use their monitor for gaming and work which gives better text clarity than 1440p.

Pretty much the same reason anyone would want to make 24 inch 1440p - divide by 2

i sit a foot from my monitor, the ppi and sharpness diff btwn a 27inch and 32inch is very noticeable, the 32inch does mean less of my peripheral vision is outside the monitor, but overall i think if all else equal, i'd rather sit even closer and have the 27 than the 32.

but i digress, alot of the youtube comments when a 27inch 4k monitor is announced is asking for a 32inch version. 27inch 1440p and 32inch 4k is pretty much the "standard" now, rather unfortunate.

4k in 27" using 100% scale do too small and not practical for usage.

But it still very usable in larger scale with very high PPI which give you sharp, crisp and clear text.

It is release as they is market for user that prefer higher clarity text and object details especially on 3D render.

There is also 24" 4K too. They are more sharper, simple.

For gaming, TV, movies and photos, there is a noticeable difference between 1440p and 4K on a 27" monitor.

And on creative applications, like photo/video editing, animation, etc., extrea screen real estate is helpful.

I understand that a sizeable portion of people would prefer to game at a lower resolution at 144+ fps instead of 4k60fps.  But as technology improves, 4K 144hz will be standard.
