floor = dust

"I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us are...very hard to explain why you're mad, even if you're not mad..."

on my carpet floor to the right of me. There is just simply no room for a full tower and 2 monitors on a desk.

I have fan filters for all fans on the lower portion of the case.

Hey folks,

Well putting it on the floor would make the powersupply overheat as I have tall carpet.

And putting it to the right would make it holy like god and therefore similar to the church.The church being slow I couldn't put the computer to the right.

I have no space on my desk so I couldn't put it desk left.

So I got a tiny table and placed it the desk's left, and that's where my computer sits. So between desk and floor.

It use to be on the desk to the left but I've recently moved it onto a separate table to the right so that I have enough room for triple monitors. :)  :)  :)

There is no 'other' option, and what is there is far too limiting.

A lot of people are going to be without a tower, and a whole lot more are going to have a different answer than the few options listed.

I personally have a wire rack shelf my monitor and most of my computer equipment sits on, and next to that a black low-shelf (knee high) made for an old CRT TV, which has my dorm fridge, microwave, and my main pc's tower on it.  This is better than the wire rack shelf as the latter is not deep enough for the pc case which is a traditional lian-li pc-60 model.  I do however have jatom, my mini itx custom build file server, on the wire rack shelf.  Jatom is a tiny system, it started life back in the 80s as a 2 bay 5.25" external scsi drive enclosure.  Basically, it is about the size of three cd drives stuck on top of eachother with a standard power supply behind them.

I am a female pc hardware expert and enthusiast, over 170 IQ, been in the tech scene since the 80s. get over it.  This message brought to you by me being tired of people which have problems with any of those things.   ~Jaqie Fox

I have tall carpet but my case would sit like an inch above a solid floor anyway. Doesn't your power supply suck some air from case?

 Also when did linus say "The stand is indeed made of metal, but I wouldn't drive my car over a bridge made of it."?

It's right on my desk at the right side of the monitor. Would gladly put it on the floor if it made the GTX 590 sound less like a jet engine, but not enough space on the floor (plus there's ridiculous amount of dust in my room, and can't bother cleaning, as the same dust amount returns within 2 weeks of cleaning).

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

I put it on the floor on top of this cheap Thermaltake desktop stand that is literally bending due to it not being accustomed to the Define R4's weight.
