pls help GPU low utilization in CSGO (Gigabyte Eagle OC RTX 4070 Ti 12G GDDR6X)

i bought RTX 4070 Ti, and i have low utilization of GPU and get around 150 fps when i need to have like 400-500 fps , i tried other games like Portal with RTX, Battlefield 4, Outlast Trials with RTX on maximum, Squad, and everything works fine, but in csgo the GPU utilization is like 30% and 150~ fps

these are my pc specs :

ᴄᴘᴜ⇨ Intel® Core™ i5-6600K ,3.9GHz, 6MB Cache, 14 nm, FCLGA1151
ɢᴘᴜ ⇨ Gigabyte Eagle OC RTX 4070 Ti  12G GDDR6X
ʀᴀᴍ ⇨ Ballistix Sport LT 16 GB, 2 x 8GB, DDR4,3000 MHz
ᴍᴏᴛʜᴇʀʙᴏᴀʀᴅ ⇨ ASUS Z170-P LGA1151
ᴘᴏᴡᴇʀ sᴜᴘᴘʟʏ ⇨ Corsair TX650M "650 W",80 Plus Gold EU.

Notmally I dont say CPU bottleneck and call everyone out who does for pushing a false narrative.

its a CPU bottleneck.

You dont need 400 fps anyways. 150 is fine. tic rates for a CS go server is only 128 aint it?

CPU bottleneck, it's an old 4C/4T, you should upgrade to a decent/recent 12400 or better (or Ryzen 5600 or better)

In the game console type:

fps_max 500

What is your CPU usage like? In CSGO with that system your performance will likely be limited by your CPU. Check your CPU utilization.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

Also worth mentioning that CSGO is more CPU-bound, so it's not likely to use most of an RTX 4070Ti even with a better CPU.

No shit thats a massive cpu bottleneck

I wonder how the hell your other games are fine

If you dont have any money atm you can try overclocking the cpu to 4.8ghz ish or whatever overclock you can run with 1.4v vcore (medium/no llc) to alleviate the cpu bottleneck

Because the 9 times out of 10 that people complain about CPU bottlenecks on these forums, they are complaining about getting 90% out of their GPU rather than 100% and creating this false concept about them.

You have an 8 year old quad core CPU "trying" to power a GPU that nears 3090 performance.  You need a new mobo and CPU.  Minimum current gen 6 core.

That is a fair question
Nvidia did a goof
For no good reason, there is significant CPU overhead with the Ampere drivers that has gotten a touch worse with lovelace. So you run into the exception of Faster GPU = less FPS in very niche situations.
Normally its not something to worry about.
Still isnt really.

Try changing the API (vulkan/DX9/DX11/DX12)
See which one works best for your configurataion. Vulkan and dx12 are the ones that have the overhead issues iirc.
Otherwise, you can always just turn up eye candy and not lose fps.

Hi bro, i am from Singapore. Just bought the 4070 ti. exact situation as u.

my specs are,

8700k overclocked to 5ghz

Gigabyte Z370XP SLI motherboard

RAM Gskill dominator DDR4 3200mhz running in xmp mode

PSU = EVGA 650 watt non modular ( not sure the actual model )

i am using a gtx 1080 ti previously and my fps is about 250 to 300+ playing on 21:9 1440P ultrawide

swap to the rtx 4070 ti now, and my fps is still the same. I should expect it to go upwards of 500 to 700 to be honest but it has similar performance to my 1080ti..sometimes dropping to 100+ fps

Not sure what is the issue.

Already ran DDU and uninstall all display drivers and reinstall.

i did some research  , you need a better CPU and a mother board with the PCI 4

DDU and do a clean driver install.

Also try earlier versions of driver.

Always boot to Safe Mode then DDU before driver installs.

Install Driver only nothing else

DO NOT INSTALL GEFORCE EXPERIENCE CRAP

While you're at it, check for running background programs/services

You should be getting the same if not higher than prev card

Also, check if GPU is performing as expected so a GPU specific benchmark(Unigine or something similar which you can check online for leaderboards)

currently running an 8700k@4.8Ghz with a 3080.
FPS on mm/faceit is around 450ish, max limit i checked(running benchmarks on lower resolutions) is around 550 but thats like extreme OC with a 1.38v core which I never want to run full time. Anything before 10th gen you can forget going over 550-600 on csgo.

This is the best I ever got with the 5.1Ghz@1.39v OC
https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/5069395935045499894/FDC9BC79BFC772C37890A43659108C98B5A3E74C/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

Anyway, 400+ average is pretty decent FPS numbers and I play with fps_max 349 anyway
Having said that, i dont have CS2 access so idk what sorta hell that launch would bring

Because you're horrifically CPU bottlenecked.

Yes

Faster GPU = lower FPS because CPU bottleneck. Makes sense

Even at a hypothetical 100% CPU bottleneck on the slower GPU (which is not happening btw), FPS would remain static. Any other cpu bottleneck (like 99% of frames are cpu bottlenecked) Fps would still go UP. Dropping FPS requires more explanation.

Try enabling mutli-core rendering, it made all the difference for me.

Just lock your GPU coreclock with MSI afterburner and or use "maximum performance" powerplan.
Your GPU is probably full in idle.
You get less FPS than an i7 2700k. So this is for sure NOT a CPU bottleneck.
Check your GPU clocks while playing CSGO.
