Conflicting Information Regarding RAM

Most likely due to 16gb is max of what Lenovo offered at the time.

They listed 1TB NVME as max for my 15ARH7H and it accepted 2TB one.

The manual that came with the laptop would be the correct answer at the time it was released - there could be new firmware/bios for it on the manufacturer's website that allows for more.  It depends on the specific laptop.. I would suggest checking on the website.

16GB total is so low (it's common for DDR3) it feels like Lenovo just doesn't want to guarantee capacities beyond what it sells.  AMD does list support for 64GB DDR4 (total) for the 4600H so that would be the max I follow.

As long as IBM/Lenovo isn't locking the capacity with the bios/firmware, totally.
