Does Pump Speed Matter for a Water Cooling Loop?

When it comes to PC Waterooling does the speed of the pump matter to the performance of the loop? I usually run it a low speed for the acoustics. But would there be any worthy performance gain?

Depends on the pump. In AIO it matters a lot. In a custom loop with a good pump it's ok to run it at lower speeds. Also depends on how big and complex the loop is and how much power it has to deal with.

The loop in question is a custom loop. With an AIO approximately what would be the performance difference?

every 1 gpm is 1c drop in temp. would that be enough to get a boots bin probably not.

but since the jet plate became the norm having anything above 1gmp is pointless as the jet plate is a bottle neck.
