Phanteks makes enclosure powerhouses from the likes of Corsair and Fractal look dated and irrelevant

RainbowTylernol

Phanteks just released their latest enclosure, the Enthoo Pro. A chassis that is absolutely packed with features, can be fully disassembled, and comes in at only $100. Wow.

The NZXT H440 was already an insane value, but this undercuts its price by 30% and is packed with even MORE  features.

isn't the H440 119.99? thats closer to 20% difference not 30.

Worth noting that the H440 includes 4 fans, phanteks 2.

Not a fan of the look of the enthoo line but hey  :P

disassembly is a nice touch though.

I was under the impression that the H440 was 139. If it is in fact 119 then my mistake.

It still has 3 more optical drive bays than I need. I hate the fact that you can't put a proper 360 in there, it's neat for its price but could be so much more with a little price premium.

I definitely see where you're coming from and I agree with you. But no case is for everyone, however, and I think this case will be perfect if you're not a super hardcore water cooler and you still use optical drives (like me).

As for paying more for something a little more premium, just wait for the Enthoo Luxe!

I'd pay 20 bucks more if it featured a second front panel without the bays and a higher fan grill in front of a modular optical drive bay system. A $90 option for windowless, a $100 for the windowed version and a $120 version with different front panel, it would make sense somehow.

I have a DVD drive but I use it so little that I disconnected both sata and the 12v cable, it's still in my case because I don't have anything to cover the hole once it's removed

A damn good value indeed, I'm waiting for the Enthoo Luxe for one of the builds I'm gonna do this summer. Phanteks is really looking good out there... watch out Corsair.

I think 2 is good but 3 is best. So you can add in a water reservoir and a fan controller if you want. Alternatively you could just get a 540 Air. It has 2 bays but it doesn't matter because it's a 2 compartment cube case. Personally cube cases are the best way to go. No need for cable management (just shove everything in the back) and no compromises other then it's a thicker case. Although I would like HDD bays in the back of the case instead of the front. I can mod that though.

It's 16,(6)% cheaper.

H440 is still cooler, this case missing sound dampening.

I usually skip this cases because I expect 200-300 bucks prices but at 99 I might seriously consider one if I had use or need for SLI or several pci-e cards.

I'm pretty sure someone, somewhere will make it happen as disassembling this case is so easy.

I thought the same for the entho primo. why isnt there 360 or even 480mm rad support. it could totally fit it. too many optical drives. thats why I like the H440.

The Primo has room for two 480s and a 280 all at once. What more could you possibly need, rofl
