No.

They'd be foolish to even try and this will be more R&D funds being directed elsewhere instead of focusing on their strength, their CPUs. AMD Only has a graphics division because they bought out ATI. Unless Intel has the balls to go up to the Nvidia CEO and try to buy them out, Intel should stay out of the graphics market - their igpu already sucks as is.

If they brought out decent competitive GPUs, then you'd be stupid to ignore them really.

Taking sides in anything is silly.

If something is decidedly better, in either power, price whatever, go with that.

Having brand loyalty is nice, and can help if comparing two equivalent products, but going blindly with 1 company would be a bit silly.

Intel used to make GPU's, but they stopped since they did not sell well, and couldn't keep up to budget offerings from Nvidia or AMD at the time, if I remember correctly.

They already make great graphics for mobile applications like Intel Iris, which is pretty good honestly. Next thing would be make a CPU with Iris Pro graphics, beating AMD'S APUs.

You will be looking at this again in a year, when Intel introduces its Iris dedicated graphics, using the 20nm process beating the GTX 880 and R9 390.

There are too many choices as it is. I like having fewer options. It's easier to make a decision on which GPU I'd like.

What do you mean too many, AMD and Nvidia? Should there only be one? More always = better.

If Nike made GPU's that had good price/performance I would buy them, even if they smelled like feet.

Realistically speaking if they do try to get into discrete graphics it will take them a couple of years to catch up with AMD and Nvidia.

But if they do I would have no problem in buying an Intel GPU....

As long as you don't have to pay a premium to get the special 'K' version which is unlocked for overclocking :)
