Bad experience: 3070Ti + Ryzen 5 1600. Suggestions for an upgrade?

Hey guys, so i recently upgraded my PC from a GTX 1060 and 16GB RAM to an RTX 3070Ti and 32GB RAM. However, i still rock the same first gen Ryzen 5 1600 Processor on my Asus Prime B350-Plus Mainboard.
I knew that this setup would cause a bottleneck, but i didn't think it would be that bad: I get extreme framedrops and occasional crashes in PUBG and really bad screen tearing in CS:GO.
I already cranked the graphics all the way up to ease the CPU load but that doesn't do much. Do you guys have any tips or suggestions for a suitable Processor Upgrade on that Motherboard?
I'm currently playing at 1080p but want to upgrade to 1440p eventually.

The cpu and gpu do not share tasks so turning the graphics up will have zero effect on cpu load. all it will do is slow the gpu down..... which doesn't somehow make the cpu faster , it just makes it seem as if the cpu is better because all you did was make the gpu worse.

As for the board it supports the 5950x so that would be pretty good

Rizen is a name from AMD lol

they have Athlon, FX, Rizen, Rizen Threadripper, and EYPC.

They're referring, I think, to the spelling typo and trolling a bit.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Fastest gaming CPU you could get should be the 5800X3D, according to the CPU support list

It seems the motherboard suits 5th gen Ryzen CPU's. So they are your best bet. Find one that fits within your budget. They will all be a big upgrade over your current CPU. Heaps of different reviews out there as well to compare CPU's.

I would potentially avoid the higher end SKU's (5900x / 5950x). Due to board age, VRM's, etc.

I would recommend looking at one of the following: 5600, 5600x, 5700x, 5800x, 5800x3D.

The 5800x3D still compares very well with 13th gen Intel and 7000 series Ryzen CPU's when it comes to gaming performance.
