Someone sell me on a good bang-for-buck gamer chair? Its a Christmas gift....

Trying to plow through "review" sites is nearly worthless, you don't know whos saying what based on what $$ they were given or free stuff they nabbed. Biased to the 9's.

 

I swore I saw a year or so ago, Linus showing a chair that was extremely affordable and comfy with goodies.

Looking to spend $250 - $275 max.

 

Hope it was OK to ask here, didn't know where else to put it.

I've got a chair from Ikea. It's comfortable, it doesn't have goodies, but its cheap and I sit my butt in it almost every day and I like it a lot. For reference I'm about 5'8" and ~170lbs

I'd ignore reviews that say the chair tilts forward, I think they built the thing wrong bc even with the pin in the lock the tilt function its fine.

Have sat in the millberget before. comfy, supportive, function over form.

I would second getting a nice office chair. Those are made for sitting on them all day and no artificial price hike because of "gamer" tag.

Ehhh. It's hard to get a chair as a gift. Comfort is different from one person to the next, so there's no real way to gauge if they'll like it based on any kind of review.

My suggestion is go for a proper ergo chair.

Not sure about good cheaper chairs, because those gaming racing style are crap. I like more premium mesh chair myself. But this one for price is probably best one yet that I've seen.
