Is this a legit Airpods Pro 2 or a fake?

AsianManiax

I was looking through facebook marketplace and this airpod pro 2 was listed for 200 dollars near me and he agreed to meet up with me if I wanted to buy it. Does it seem legit? The only problem I saw was that the back of the box had a picture of the airpods pro 1st generation because of the larger grills.

Airpods are a ripoff no matter what, you're paying 2-3x what you should be just for the apple logo.

I wouldnt pay more than 50-60 dollars for these kind of earbuds.

Used like new! Brand new in box! Interesting. S/N is legit, the rest of the box looks the same, although it's slightly distressed. Very interesting. Honestly, I wouldn't, but that's just my perspective.

Are you confused between airpods variants?

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

Can you provide examples?  Unless you're talking about sound quality in comparison to wired iems or something, there's nothing out there that I'd consider a competitor under the price of the.. Buds 2 pro.

Well yes If better sound quality was the main goal then any wireless earbuds are a complete waste. Although im guessing its not ops goal since hes getting airpods.

Wireless earbuds in general just seem pointless, they break or get lost easier and are much more expensive. But if op really wants wireless there is still much better value out there. I believe there are wireless iems you can get, so id look for those.

I dont think they could add anything to them to make them worth 240 dollars.

The problem i have with wireless iems are that they still haven't reached a point where they work seamlessly and a lot of the bluetooth 2 point pin connectors i find have some sort of problem with them. I definitely have looked at the arias and thought about getting a combo of that and the bluetooth adapter but it seems to unreliable at this point. Also the new airpods pro 2 with their H2 chip seem to be significantly better than the airpods pro 1 and provide nc and transparency that is not found in many other buds from what i can find.

Well anything wireless is gonna be worse than a wired equivalent.

If airpods pro 2 have everything you want then go for it, im just saying that you could probably find better value out there.

If you're talking about comparing it to other wireless earbuds, then sure I can see that.

But if you compare it to wired earbuds or any over ear headphones they arent gonna hold up as well.

IEMs or over-ears don't compete with airpods. They are targeting 2 groups of customers. I totally understand how airpods don't sound the best but that's not the point of them.
