Strix 4090 with the Corsair RM1000x PSU?

Hey,

 

Do you guys think the psu will be ok with the strix 4090? my full specs is in the signature. I was thinking of getting the ASUS ROG Thor 1200W Gen 2.

Should be fine, it's only like 100W over your current 3090 (IIRC those are around 350W+ depending on BIOS), if your system hasn't exploded yet it shouldn't do so with that small of an increase.

i think the splitters with old psu standards are likely not safe to use, just wait for new psus.

Ye those splitter seems a bit sketch even if they say it was mostly due to the tight bends...

If it's actually the 450w Nvidia says, 1000w should be enough.

ye i might maybe just buy the cable mod cable that will make 4 pcie cables to 1 pcie 600w cable
