Is something missing in the top bar?

I'm not sure why, but it feels like something is missing on the top bar where the logo is, above the nav bar

 

Or it's always been like that color-less?

 

From some reason I feel like the forum didn't load something there, but now I'm not sure if it's just my imagination

I don't have any blockers and it's like that for me on 3 browsers: Chrome, Edge and Firefox

 

Edit: When I open the forum in my phone on "Desktop Site" it's working properly. So looks like it's something in my PC

Update: I see that the browsers fail to load the image with error 404:

Huh, that is super weird, the header image indeed doesn't exist on the server, it is just cached by our CDN, except presumably not cached by the node that you hit when you got the 404. The night theme works as expected, it's just the day theme.

 

I've cleared the forum caches, and it looks like it should be working now. I'm not sure where to start with figuring out the root cause here though, based on modified times it was at least a month ago.

Try holding SHIFT down while clicking on the reload icon, it should force all content to be reloaded no matter if it's locally cached or not.

In this case, that would not have helped unless you also happened to get a different cloudflare node.

Update: Floatplane is missing on my taskbar, not the background. Might be a profile issue.

 

Still occuring on my end. Tested on:

 

Chrome, Android, No adblocking

MSEdge, Windows 10 Enterprise, No adblocking but corporate network traffic filtering by ZScaler

 

I'm in US East

What do you mean floatplane is missing? AFAIK floatplane hasn't shown up there for ages, other than for bronze/silver/gold contributors.

It was a problem on the forum side rather than an interaction with the cdn (the cdn just meant that it didn't appear to break for everyone, rather than being the reason it broke), but beyond that I don't know.
