Stand off screws not aligning with Motherboard

jjcz5

It doesn't seem to matter how I orient my Motherboard there will always be a few stand off's that won't be aligned. While 5 out of the 9 screws can go in the last 4 can't, one of them going in halfway and ends up getting crooked. I used PC Part Picker and it said the parts were compatible also the IO looks like it's in correctly to me at least. Could this problem be my Case or my Motherboard?

Case: Cougar MX330-G Air

MOBO: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F

Chassis might be slightly bent or warped, keeping one side of the board from fitting flush, and that will throw everything off. My Corsair 4000X has some issues with the expansion slot screws lining up if you don't put pressure on the chassis from the rear.

I don't badmouth others' input, I'd appreciate others not badmouthing mine. *** More below ***

Due to minor flexing, I often need to push the motherboard to line up with all the standoffs. While screwing in the first one or two screws, push the motherboard gently towards the I/O backplate to ensure that everything is lined up properly.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
