Is it normal to have thought's of suicide when your 15-16, or should I talk to someone/seek some help?

Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.

Go play Dark Souls and you can die over and over again so you will not be suicidal after a day playing.

Ill save up for dark souls II and give it a shot. Therapeutic dying.

It's not normal, yet not something to be ashamed of either. As others said you should look for someone to talk to, doesn't have to be a professional yet if you don't want to. Someone you can trust, I've been there and talking about your problems out loud is very therapeutic and helps clear your mind.

Also, and this is just from personal experience, find something that you love so much that can calm you when it gets bad. Can be a movie, a song, a game, a person, whatever you want. Something to slow you down and get you to breath when it gets tough. Good luck and feel free to pm if you want.

Is it normal to have thought's of suicide when your 15-16, or should I talk to someone/seek some help?

Do you think you would follow through?

It is "normal" and ok to stop and think about it from time to time but it's best to talk to your parents and doctor but it could be a case you don't realise your depressed.

I've "been there, done that" and this is one of those things that the internet cannot diagnose.

It's normal to not have faith in humanity anymore (due to stupidity being admired more than actual intelligence. Blame the modern youth).

However it's not normal to have suicidal thoughts. Do you have any idea what could be the cause for that?

I've had suicidal thoughts at age of 11 - 14 years, slight thoughts at age of 15 years, and now only very minor / none.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

Stuff has happened in my life, yes. But a fair way before I started having them.

Well, ive got pretty close, to the point where I'm half way through writing a note...

being a teenager is a confusing age, your brain will think of things from messed up angles regardless of what it is about, it's probably more normal than people think, you just have to stop and think about the implications of suicide, what follows after and what your family will think of you, suicide isn't really a proper option, it's rash and selfish, you just have to deal with it until you become older, your brain will calm down when it has everything sorted out from the crazy teenage, you just need more time to think.

I would talk to a close family member and your doctor if they shrug it off or tell you that you'll be fine explain how close you've gotten.

I hid it from family members and while I made it through it would've been easier on me if I had the support.

Is it normal to have thought's of suicide when your 15-16, or should I talk to someone/seek some help?

If thoughts of committing suicide and the act of writing a suicide note are so comfortable that you need to ask if it's normal then you need to talk to someone trained to help you with the issues that are causing you to feel the way you do.

If you think of this post as being your first step, your next step is to go here: http://www.suicideprevention.com.au/ to get concrete advice as to what to do next to find someone qualified to help you with the issues that are causing this (you might not even be consciously aware of what those issues are, the mind's a funny thing).

You should also visit your family doctor but be aware they're often not very helpful in this area (they can be really dumb about these things). I told my family doctor for years that I felt depressed and he brushed it off and I nearly died (I'm basically only still alive because of a chance occurrence (someone found me and I don't mean psychologically/emotionally I mean someone physically found me)).

You must find a trained professional to help you.

Also, you can't trust people on the internet (or even in life) to have your best interests at heart. If you're telling people this then you might just be telling people who would enjoy and/or benefit from exploiting you how to manipulate and exploit you. As great as this forum is it is not a safe place for you to deal with these issues.

Setting the goal of buying Dark Souls is not an effective coping strategy for dealing with thoughts of suicide and the underlying issues that are causing thoughts.

Go here: http://www.suicideprevention.com.au/ and go to your family doctor (but don't be surprised if you doctor is just really really dumb about it and doesn't seem to care.)

You can have a better, happier life. I am living proof of this.

my dad died when I was 9 and my friend died when I was 12 and my auntie died when I was 13.  I completely understand.  All I can advise is to get a pet or find some friends and make life fun.  Seeking help is okay I guess but I only found speaking to people about it made me feel I wanted to do it more.

Having fun and enjoying life makes you want to live and having a pet that relies, trusts and loves you is what helped me and it forced me to cling on and now I feel sad sometimes but its okay to feel sad.  Suicide is not good and for all you know tomorrow you might win the lottery, make a friend or find a new hobby.

Take it one day at a time and I can help you with anything if you need it! :D

Unless you legitimately want to, dont see a councillor because others tell you to.  I did that and I ended up punching a hole in the wall, literally.

To be honest, the only thing that is keeping me through is music and games. As you said, I have no idea what's causing them. I haven't had any recent traumatic issues ect. Also, I am wary of where I post, but Internet exploitation doesn't seem to wrk on me, I can shrug it off easily, even when I'm in a dark dark place. I guess I will talk to someone about it, if you say it is that much of an issue if I take it as the norm. It has been happening for like a year, and I haven't done it yet...

You can take ages 15 and 16 and double it then divide it into my age and you would still have a remainder and i have never had a thought of suicide yet. Life is to enjoyable for me. Seek some professional help if you can before this gets worse.

One thing I can say to you is that you are in the first chapter of your life.

If things are shit now, there's no telling what the future will bring, I would suggest you look at some examples of people who have come from the very pits of life and become something great at a point later on in life.

I'm not saying greatness is guarunteed, but maybe one day you will be happy and think to yourself

"Well fuck, if I'd gone ahead and ended it way back before I'd even found any of this, that would have been a bad call..."

It's way too early to condemn your future to the grave before you can even know what's going to happen in it.
