Pcie wifi/bluetooth cards vs USB bluetooth adapters

Srijan Verma

I recently picked up a nice pair of xm4 earbuds but since I did not get a wifi mobo, havent been able to use them on my pc.

Is there a good reason to go for a pcie wifi card vs a USB adapter like those from TPlink? (the price difference seems pretty big)

Are there any specific cards/adapters i should go for?

I am using a PCI-E Wi-Fi card and a USB Bluetooth card.

It works really well for me.

from my experience the pcie wifi cards tend to have a much better connection than the usb ones.

Correct, they're on the same card/chip.

They most definitely do, the antennas and possibly the amplifiers are much better so a stronger stabler signal.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
