two ram sticks will let your memory operate in Dual Channel mode. this means you get a lot more bandwidth, because the CPU can use both sticks at the same time.

For a Ryzen 5 2600, big difference in performance.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

CL19 is slower than CL16, true. But, the benefits of dual channel greatly outweigh that.

2666 CL16 is slower than 3200 CL19, because the number for cas latency is not a raw value, it's a multiplier.

I don't think you could preserve CL16 on that kit if you got the frequency up to 3200. But also, you can overclock the 3200MHz Corsair memory to lower the CL from 19 to maybe 17 or even 16.

can you buy a single 16GB 3000MHz stick of ram? I would think this is also pretty cheap.

You can maybe overclock the 2666 MHz ram to 3000, worth a try. If you are trying to save money, then it is a good choice.
