Right now, I don't see Ubiquiti with any PoE switches with 10GbE. But that might be for a reason: if you're powering devices over ethernet, those will likely be APs. No consumer-grade AP has a 10GbE port. If you want that, you're heading into a different price range (see UAP-XG-US and UWB-XG-US. That's not to say they won't come in the future as WiFi speeds improve.

My advice (if you want to stick with Ubiquiti) would be to get the USW-EnterpriseXG-24 so you can maintain 10GbE to your important wired devices, and link that via 10Gb SFP+ to the USW-Enterprise-8-POE. Power your PoE devices at 2.5Gb through the latter.

Also why is some of the used Ubiquiti gear selling for more than new on eBay?  That doesn't make any sense??

Because products directly from the Ubiquiti store tend to sell out fast.

Try looking at third-party resellers like Baltic Networks or a local provider in your area. Most times, these businesses buy directly from Ubiquiti and other manufacturers in bulk at a reduced rate, which can translate to cost savings on the consumer end.

I am moving into a new house in a few weeks and we wired for 10GbE.  My current network switch is a Ubiquiti Switch Pro 24 with no PoE or 10G other than the two SFP+ ports.  I predict as of now that I'll only have maybe 5 10G devices but in the future that number could change to 10 or so.  I was looking at selling my switch and buying the Switch Enterprise XG 24 for future proofing, but this switch doesn't have any PoE ports on it either and in my new house I have 7 PoE devices (also Unifi).  Two of them need PoE+ and the other 5 only need standard PoE.  I could just use PoE injectors which was my original idea or I could settle for a PoE switch and the Enterprise XG.  I am not sure what to do.  I have a NAS that is also 10G capable so I would like to be able to use the 10G capabilities of the networking in my home since I already have the wiring for it.

What do you guys recommend?  Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Probably was a shortage of the gear at some point and the sellers are not tracking that the shortage is ending (though it may be back later this year).

I think FS switches can give you both 10G speeds and PoE

Yeah hopefully. I'm still trying to get my hands on a G4 Doorbell. Interestingly enough the Ubiquiti store on Amazon still has them in stock and is regularly restocked, and the price is usually about an extra $100 more than what Ubiquiti sells them for on their site. It seems like maybe they've been trying to get the higher price for the doorbell on Amazon rather than sell them at MSRP on their own site.

Thank you for the product recommendation, but these switches seem to be more expensive than the Ubiquiti ones and what I was willing to spend (like $2000 tops). I am trying to stay in the one ecosystem if I can for the most part.

Get a Fibre cable and get a MikroTik 5 port SFP+ at 10G (CRS305-1G-4S+IN) switch with a single RJ45 connector, although you would need to get an SPF module.

@Sir Asvald

Thank you for those product recommendations. I would prefer to have more than 5 10G ports on my switch though just so I don't have to go about replacing it again in a couple of years.

I need to stay away from using SFP+ to RJ45 Adapters because I believe the maximum distance on those is 100ft or 30m and some of the 10GbE runs exceed the 100ft maximum.

For the 10GbE switch I was looking at a MikroTik CRS312-4C+8XG-RM as this has the perfect amount of 10GbE ports and I like the price a lot more.  The price is way more reasonable compared to the Ubiquiti Switch Enterprise XG 24 ($659 vs $1299).  The only thing I don't like is I would be using multiple interfaces instead of just having the one to control everything in my network.  I'm not sure if that feature is worth almost double the price though.

For the PoE switch I think I will either stick with just using the PoE injectors or I would sell my Ubiquiti Switch Pro 24 and replace it with the Ubiquiti Switch Enterprise 24 PoE.

@Falcon1986

I think I might not have been clear as what I meant with the PoE / 10GbE switch.  For the WiFi Access Points I only need either 1GbE or 2.5GbE and for devices that don't require PoE I would need 10GbE for some of them.  I guess I was asking for a switch that doesn't exist as most of them are either all 10GbE with no PoE or PoE but with only either 1GbE or 2.5GbE ports on them.

I did look at the USW-Enterprise-8-PoE and I think that might be the path I go as I am currently powering 3 Switch Flex mini's with PoE but I can switch them to using a power adapter instead so that would free up an additional 3 ports and then if we ever added cameras in the future that would give us the ability to add 4.

Thank you!

I mean if you REALLY want Nbase-T up to 10g and PoE there are some available in the $5k to $10k range 😄

But yah, on the consumer side most of that hasn't really become a thing, most of it is still very new in the enterprise space even and uncommon there too.

And I thought the Netgear MS510TXUP was expensive. 😉

What really frustrates me now is the lack of PoE splitters that work at NBASE-T speeds.  I did find a Gigabit one worked at 2.5Gbit but not at 5Gbit.

WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)

I bought a network tester (Klein VDV501-851) that will tell me fairly accurate cable lengths of the ethernet runs.  If some of them are under the 100ft maximum for using the SFP+ to RJ45 adapters I will get the Ubiquiti Switch Aggregation which has 8 10G SFP+ ports on it.  I would dedicate 2 of the ports to the new USW-Enterprise-8-POE switch I bought and 2 to the 24-Pro switch I already have. That leaves me with 4 ports for 10G devices which is enough for today.

Much better than spending the $1299 on the one switch 😳

There are some 80m SFP+ to RJ45 adapters on fs.com as well but they're a bit pricey:
