Mesh system (TP Link Deco) - one ethernet for input and one for output?

Filingo

The TP Link deco has two ethernet ports:

Deco M5(3-Pack) Technical Specifications

Is one of them for the input from the wall - then it transmits wifi, and the second one for output, say for a computer/switch?

Because I need both wifi and cable, so it could be a good solution

I have these, the ethernet is for backhaul so if a cable broke it would have no downtime or issues along with second optional routes. You can plug stuff into these ports as well. So I go from my router into one then into a switch. But I also have some things plugged into the ports in other rooms.

Yes. One is modem WAN input, and one will be LAN… I assume.

Also just or note, I have had great luck with Nest Wifi (formerly google Wifi). Have it deployed at multiple family members houses and it works great.

so it can both be from the same source as backup, and if you plug one to it for source and out from it to a PC it automatically detects it? nice
