I can hear them on the main floor from the basement, they are loud af when they spool up lol..my db meter on my phone shows like 60 or 65 db. The Noctua 140s are like 160cfm, the little 120 is like 110cfm, and my TY-143 is 130cfm.. if I run them on the silent setting it鈥檚 ok.. most of the time 馃槃

My Panaflos were only 110cfm at 12v. I ran them at 7v most of the time. I have a couple of 24v fans as well, one runs at 12v silently, the other is a bit louder. But they mover a shitload of air, all of them.. 120x38s are excellent if you have the room. I like these iPPC fans.. I only need 3 lol, maybe another 140 for my cooler, just so they all match 馃檪

hmm do i have room....ya i have room... considering my case labs th10 can do 4x 420mm rads with push pull and a 360mm in the flx bay... could do more if i had the mounting brackets...

my thermal take core 200 with 2 pedestals could do 10 i think 480m rads

my thermal take core x9 can do think 3 480 or 420s and a 360 in front plus other if you want to be picky...

my thermal take tower 900 can do 2x 480 pulse a 240 in the back i think.

probably leaving something out...

It was probably some stupid external fan with a wall socket plug. I saw a 600cfm one, also.

100cfm per fan is a good round number.. moves some good air when you dial in your setup. Guys running 30-60cfm fans would be impressed the most I think. Because of my time spent with thick fans, most consumer fans don't really interest me, and I am used to the noise.. some people are bothered by a whisper, try having that whisper ramping up to full on corded Dyson聽馃ぃ

On one hand, I like to hear when my GPU fan boosts up, so I can tweak the system or just be aware of it. But with powerful fans, you have the ability to just COOL EVERYTHING INSTANTLY whenever you want lol. Having internal, directable fan ducts would be cool, too. Point it RIGHT where you want to blast air.

I am thinking of trying 3 Delta 252's, and connecting them to a 5.25" bay fan controller knob dials. Hopefully that's easy enough to set up, then I can adjust the fans to silent or max.

Exactly. I鈥檝e got 425cfm from 3 fans at the front of my case. I have the top and basement sealed off, and pci covers removed, also not using an exhaust fan and my system runs very well. I have them capped at 2500 revs, and they are running on a PWM controller.

Edit:

I also have 215CFM worth of fans hanging off of my CPU cooler.
