While I own an Intel CPU I'm actually voting AMD as they are better bang for buck and if you buy the right one, very good processors compared to simularly priced Intel CPUs, obviously if you buy a more pricey Intel CPU it runs away with it.

Intel mainly because they make much higher-end processors such as the 2011 CPUs and the 3770K, which are the ones I use most often.

AMD has great budget CPUs though which I would recommend over an i3 or a Pentium any day for the average user.

Done the intel thing for years, fancied running with the AMD just because its loads more value for money... and I like a good bargain...

I can see the appeal of amd if you're on a really tight budget, but even then I'm of the mindset that you shouldn't skimp on the cpu or mobo. A good cpu and mobo will last you much longer than any gpu will.

It's a tricky question. Intel CPUs outperform AMD at the higher end, at this time, so I tend to recommend them. But I like AMD better as a manufacturer and tend to choose them whenever they are competitive - I especially like the APUs.

Im not on a tight budget but have found that having the top AMD will murder anything I throw at it. Paying nearly double for an i7 seems insane for me.

Can't wait for my 8350 to arrive, right now I'm stuck with a Pentium lol

You have a Pentium E5700 hooked up to a Radeon HD 7850, how does it run?

Yeah I agree, the 8350 is really becoming their stepping stone hopefully with all of the money they are getting from the never settle bundle, they will be able update and enhance everything, and just give intel a run for their money
