3080 Ti running hot

SHADY16

so i have a EVGA 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra and at times in final fantasy XIV it can get to 87c even with fans at full speed and i even tried undervolting the card and that only brought the card down to 80-81c.. Currently have the corsair 570x Crystal with a top mounted 240MM aio and have all ML pro series fans.  anything i could do to help with temps?

What happens if you remove that led lit acrylic on top of the card's backplate.

There is approximately 99% chance I edited my post

Which way are the fans on the AIO blowing? if there isn't enough exhaust the air in your case could be getting REALLY hot.

If that's not an issue I would try reinstalling drivers. Maybe there's a problem stopping the fans from spinning up to  100%

Generally is your PC getting any circulation of air?...

IDK, change the lights to blue.... thats a cold color... 😜

Looking good! But I would install CPU rad in the front instead. That'll let the gpu dump heat more easily to the case. Should also let CPU run lower temp. You might need to remove the backplate as others say. I guess you already changed thermal paste on the card? If not, that might be needed.

Even if fans is installed on the left side of the rad, making the rad acting like a shroud?

not enough space to do that as with the rad it was to close to the gpu. only thing besides underclocking by -150 to -200 that works is taking off side panel or capping fps in games at my monitors refresh rate

Alright, then get a bigger case with better airflow i guess. fans front or back is using the same space.  Also whats the issue? max temp is 93c for 3080ti. I would try with fresh thermal paste on the card or get another cooler for that too.

thats the thing i cant get a bigger case on my desk as its not very big, and its the only place i can place it. i have about 19.5 inches of desk space for lenght and with my tv being a 65 my case actually goes above my tv.

I have an EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3080 ti.

At stock it uses 50 watts more than my EVGA XC3 Ultra 3080 ti and MSI Gaming X Trio 3080 ti and that makes it extremely hard to cool.

When I got the card I tested it in 3 cases. A CM H500 ARGB, CM H500P Mesh and a Corsair 5000D. They all gamed in the 80s. The 4th case I tested it in I got it down to 75c and that was a lian li o11 dynamic.

On the cases that failed hot air would get trapped below the card and would be ingested by the card over and over again before it left the case.

There is a LTT video that shows this.

This is my setup the works. The 2 fans on the bottom are Noctua NF-A12x25s. 023

I was considering getting the 011 dynamic but someone told me they had issues getting a 3080 Ti FTW3 in it. Also I got temps down to 74c with an undervolt and my front glass and dust filter removed

IMO there is no reason you shouldn't be doing that already. You're just wasting power otherwise.

Have you tried repasteing it? Maybe it just has bad contact or something.

i figured out what was causing it, my front glass and dust filter restrict to much airflow. as soon as i remove them my card drops to 74-75c

What kind of case is it?
