So the girl was out of town this weekend so Friday evening I took the plunge and bought Rust. So far I really like it.

 

It does get a little annoying getting shot when your a fresh spawn about 15 times, but once you get a bit of fortifications set up life is a lot better.

 

I would highly recommend it to anyone. But beware, it seems to bring out the dark side in many people. 

 

I try to help as many of the fresh spawns as I can by giving them some food or wood. I have even started carrying extra weapons blueprints that I already have to give away.

 

I admit to 3 player murders over the weekend, only one may have been questionable. I found one guy sleeping (logged off player) hiding behind my hut, I was in a paranoid mood and thought he needed to die. Bashed him with a rock. If it was you, I'm sorry, but get off my lawn.

 

Anyway, if you are into survival games, or just want to become wildly paranoid, you should certainly pick up this one.

can't you become fully nude on rust, which is rather weird.

Not in the latest versions. You spawn with some tattered boxers on. No more nude parties.

 

You give fresh spawns wood.

Eh, the kill on sight mentality that is now in hardcore survival is kinda off putting. I now mainly play DayZ mod RP servers which are fun.  On your description though I might pickup rust if H1Z1 turns out to be not as good as everyone's saying it will be

There comes a time in rust were you get killed so many times that you trust no one and just get sick of "fresh spawns" pulling weapons on you. So at that point you just shoot on sight it's not worth the risk plus fresh spawns are always gathering resources so free resources without the work.

It may be a pretty paranoid experience but I have been really enjoying it. I'm glad I bought it. 

 

A couple of the guys on one of the servers and I have a sorta alliance against a couple of the dirtbags that play on the server. Now they don't mess with us as much when 4 or 5 people have come running over the hill when they start pestering one of us.
