Imagine playing Tribes on Oculus

So I just watched the DK2 video and was thinking to myself "I'm going to pick one of these up for Tribes."

Now for those who don't know what Tribes is, I'll embed a video clip I uploaded for no reason (maybe I thought something like this would happen?) of the latest Tribes game Tribes:Ascend.

 

 

 

Just imagine that.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

so I tried playing the game before on a couple different occasions, ran into the same thing every time. I encountered a massive amount of cheaters, wasn't very fun, felt silly.

 

which leaves me with the statement that it'd be silly on oculus too. probably more so.

So its very similer to Titanfall, looks like an older game so i would say Titanfall copied them instead of it being the other way around.

So its very similer to Titanfall, looks like an older game so i would say Titanfall l copied them instead of it being the other way around.

Tribes is more like quake, a very arena style shooter (which it is). Titanfall doesn't feel at all like a arena shooter.

True but I was not talking about game play wise, more or less the parkour style with jet packs and fast paced game play

Yeah, does look like it would be very hard to get used to. Lots of fast, sudden movements.

Not great for VR.

 

All the "Hey X game thats out with the Rift!",  is nice.

But Oculus and Valve have both said that you really need a new game for VR, adapting existing ones in nice, but we need proper made for VR games, any adaptations are never going to be as good.

Lies.

I've only ever seen one cheater get out of novice games. If they went into a real game they would get instabanned by the mass amount of reports.

I have both, there are few similarities.

-Guns

-Jetpacks

I have to give you props for the Nope vid :D LMAO it has made me laugh harder then hell twice now, and I only have Titainfall, so i am just basing it of the vid you posted about the game.

I will imagine playing Tribes on another VR product. Faceboculus is dead to me.

Oculus is the face of VR at this point in time.

I probably would pick another one too, if there were any major players.

Don't want to be stuck in facebook forever. (Sword Art Online)

would be pretty cool, maybe a bit fast paced but we'll see.
