Is this something I should be worried about or care about?

Yes, the drive is on the verge of imminent failure.

Back up everything you need from that drive before it's too late.

Yes... "Imminent failure" should be something that concerns you. 

 

I'd advise downloading something like CrystalDiskInfo to check what attribute is reporting bad on the drive and replace it unless it's a false positive. 

 

You should also be worried about things like fire, just so you know /s

Just backup the drive and replace it. If you're running a system that's on DDR3 still, you probably don't need much speed or space. Here's a 1TB WD Blue HDD on Amazon for $40. Here's the SSD version for $90
