win + L -- lock

I don't turn my rig off, don't hibernate, don't log off, don't sleep -- lock basically just well locks the pc behind a password, with all background processes running. Even though it's just me and my cat, I still like to lock my pc when I step away or go to sleep.

why do you like to lock it? lol

I never really thought deep into why, guess it's just a good habit to have.

At home alone there isn't really "a threat" of somebody hopping on and going through my computer, but in public its a different story.

Do you still reboot like once a week?

pcs tend to lose performance over time, have ig it on for like a month without a reboot would destroy performance

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

Bios database

My beautiful, but not that powerful, main PC:

Nah, 3 months + of uptime is not uncommon.

Edit: Restarts are usually not intentional either. Cat might've jumped on the power button, windows nagging me to death about an update and I finally give in after months of telling it "remind me later" daily, etc.

Reminds me of the idiots who run computer admin for my work--whose "genius" idea is an announcement that has been up for 6+ months--that everyone needs to restart their PC daily.
