You pretty much need to go with a prebuilt if you want a 3060ti near that price point and you don't want to way overpay.

Want to be able to play most games at medium to high setting at 144 fps. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Masterb_/saved/CkrkJx

I also had a question. Should I go for G Skill Trident Z RGB or Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro. Want to use very little rgb software while having all of rgb synched up.

I would recommend getting a 2tb hard drive bcz 1 tb is not enough u can gettem for 60 bucks and I would recommend a non founders edition as there clock speed is faster

And I would also get a cheaper motherboard then maybe you can afford a aio or a larger capacity hard drive

I was looking at motherboards for my Ryzen 5 5600x and found 2 similar ones that caught my eye. The first was the Asus ROG Strix b550 f Gaming Wifi. And the second was Asus Tuf b550 Plus Wifi. Which motherboard would be better to pick up?

ROG Strix b550 f Gaming Wifi: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088VSTS9H?pf_rd_r=8H95GNNERS46E4EEFWY7&pf_rd_p=8fe9b1d0-f378-4356-8bb8-cada7525eadd&pd_rd_r=a67ef795-8236-482d-83fd-2b758508f2a9&pd_rd_w=xABKj&pd_rd_wg=Z8Bri&ref_=pd_gw_unk

They're both very similar boards, and while the Strix might have slightly better quality VRMs (probably), it's probably not something you'd notice with a 5600X. I'd personally get the Tuf board since I'm cheap, but if you consider the aesthetics of the Strix board $30 better, go for that.

I want to buy the Rog Strix b550 f Wifi but it has a 8+4 CPU power connector. I have a 650w power supply and was thinking if it was necessary to get the other 4 pin. My power supply only comes with a single 8 pin CPU power connector. Is this important? Will it affect it in any way?

That depends on your CPU.

The CPU power connector is just 2 pins: Ground and +12 V.
They are repeated 4 times or 6 times with the extra 4 pin connector.

So the voltage will get there. The current is just splitted to more wires, which makes them stay cooler at high currents.

But unless you want to obverclock a Ryzen 9, you should be fine. If you would do that, you probably would get a higher power power supply anyway.

Just the single 8-pin CPU power connector is enough.

You'd only need the extra 4-pin, unless you are like...trying to overclock a Ryzen 5950X to the max on water / extreme cooling.

I want to pair my Ryzen 5 5600x with the Asrock B550 PG Velocita but I want to add a m.2 wifi card for both wifi and blutooth connectivity. The m.2 card costs around 40 USD at the time and was wondering if it would be a good pair. Another thing I was wondering is if it would fit in the rear io to add the atennas?

Could be a good one, beware to not get the CNVi version (only works on Intel) on that card.

They both have the same total latency. The 3600MHz obviously has more bandwidth. Either is fine for a 5600X, but the 3600MHz would be better.

Can you even do that? The kit would be rated for cl 18 latency at 3600 megahertz

You can do that. Will it be stable and so forth, you'll have to do the testing on tweaking.

But first we have to place bets on that memory controller running the kit at XMP speeds any ways. The chip after all is designed for 3200mt/s and 3600mt/s is OC. Which the same kit will easily do that 3200mt/s, so you won't be at any losses. You may be able to OC in between with the same kit say 3466mt/s..... But that's what I mean about your own testing. Nobody can say for certain that your hardware will do X this or X that.

Now if this was a set of B-Die, I could give you some really close figures to work with....

The set would be like g skill trident z rgb and would it be capable of over clocking?

The manufacturer doesn't matter. It can be any actually.

They have 3 memory chip manufacturers to use.

Micron

SK Hynix

Samsung

You won't know what the memory chips are until you run TyphoonBurner.

If you find a set in your price range in your region with a timing set of 16-16-16-36 at 3600mt/s, that is the set of memory you want. That timing set is a tall tale sign of Samsung B-Die and of the few you can tell what it is before purchase.

All the other dies from all 3 memory chip manufacturers use A die, C-Die, D-die for example, so it's difficult to know what you are buying from the memory stick manufacturer (like G.Skill or Corsair).

All that being said, I've found it easiest to just always recommend a set of Samsung B-Die because it's generally the most stable and most scalable for overclocking. 16-16-16-36 on my 8700K 4000mt/s is not a problem from a 3600mt/s kit. AMD, you'll be fighting the IF:MEM link (1:1) at around 3900mt/s and above.

First one is M.2 so you can use it in that dedicated slot beneath your PCI-E slot. Second one is PCIx1 so you can use one of your PCI slots.

For the M.2 one (better choice) you don't even have to use the PCI filler plate. You can remove the SMA antenna connectors from it and install them into the dedicated spots on your motherboard's coverplate. It has two dedicated holes for them.

My understanding is they’re basically the same stuff, just set up a bit differently.  One could probably be turned into the other.   5+4 and 4+5 both equal 9.  The other timings might matter.  I commonly see 4 timings listed but I understand there are even more than that.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.
