looking for a small case for a Micro ATX build

zogthegreat

Hi everyone!

I'm planning a Micro ATX build in the next few months and I'm looking for recommendations for the smallest Micro ATX case out there. I'm not really concerned about how it looks, just small! The motherboard size is 7.5 in x 7.4 in.

Thanks!

The Fractal Design Node 804 is pretty small, and fits mATX boards. Probably not the smallest by any means but it's one I can think of off the top of my head. Also has the distinction of being home to 8 3.5" drive bays.

It's entirely possible that I misinterpreted/misread your topic and/or question. This happens more often than I care to admit. Apologies in advance.

Hmm, I think that I found what I'm looking for:

This is a really small case!

Wow this thing is insane! I haven't seen a uATX case this compact with standard component compatibility before!

As a first choice I'd skip SAMA IM01 because of the closed off front, and just get it's clone FSP CST 350 Plus that has mesh front panel. If u can't find it, then yes, Either the old FSP CST 350 (with closed off) or SAMA IM01 are good secondary options.

Silverstone PS15 if you want ATX compatibility and a standard layout, otherwise the SAMA IM01 is likely your best bet

Hmm, I just found this Silverstone Sg13B:

https://www.amazon.ca/Silverstone-Computer-Front-Panel-SG13B/dp/B00U8IS89E/ref=sr_1_13?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1486056019&sr=1-13&keywords=mini+itx&pldnSite=1

Bigger than what I want, but the price is reasonable. Although right now I'm thinking of a electric panel like this:

Fairly small and only $40 CDN at a hardware store.

That's not mATX.

The Silverstone case or the electric panel? 😆

SG13B is mITX.

If that panel is greater than 9.6"x9.6" , an MATX board will fit, but then you need to worry about mounting everything else. Unless you're knowledgeable or experience with custom PC building, it's a route I'm hesitant to recommend.
