I cannot activate a new SIM card because AT&T is stupid

Sarra

So, every time I try the AT&T website's activate sim card webpage, I get redirected to ad.doubleclick.net, which firefox is flagging as malware. When I try to temporarily disable the filtering for google's BS advertising crap, it just doesn't load.

I guess I'll let this SIM card 'activate itself', but holy f*** AT&T, why are you doing this crap?

Maybe I should switch to another provider, that's less crappy.

I went to att.com/activations/ and it worked just fine.

That's not the link I was given to use, I was given att.com/activatephone which on both of my computers basically redirects to ad.doubleclick.net

On the link I went to it asks to activate a prepaid phone or a new phone. if you are using a prepaid card then that could mean that the link being printed on the card is wrong which is a different issue.

Yeah, I used your link, and it not only loaded, and it worked properly.

No idea why the SIM card had that URL on it, it really did not work right.

Thank you, in any case, you got me to the right spot. 😄
