Sealed Samsung 870 Evo 4TB for 250 euros, for gaming, should I?

Rijsberman

Hi there guys!

Been running into storage issues for a year now. Only have one slot on mobo for an m.2 and there is already a 1tb drive in there. Keep having to dig what game I can delete to update another lol.

Am I stupid to buy SATA ssd for game storage now? From what I'm seeing, theres not really a big difference in the real world. As long as it isnt HDD. Storage is kinda expensive, damn 😮

And if you're up to help with more recommendations, here is the post about my build and what I'm looking to do with it ! :) Not getting replies yet so would be noice!

you will see no difference in game performance or load times between Sata and NVMe performance when it comes to games and tasks such as that.

Thanks that is what I thought! Now that I have you here, and you the psu tier list in your description. You might be able to help me with the part of ''What PSU'' in this post. Would be much appreciated!

There are people significantly more knowledgeable about PSUs than I. I would suggest locating ones you can source/buy and reference the list and make a thread asking for details/information regarding them in the Power Supply Subforum.

For now.

direct storage is coming, and a 4x gen4 name would be preferred for that

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

Bios database

Is this something I realistically should worry about in the coming let's say, 1-1,5 years? Since the storage isnt the bottleneck yet? 😮 Unlike in servers processing ai stuff
