Pixel 4a or Redmi Note 10 Pro?

The Pixel 4a is down to £279 while the Redmi Note Pro 10 is £268. The Redmi Note Pro 10 is a clear winner looking at specs but as I posted before I'm having doubts about Xiaomi as a lot of people say you shouldn't buy them because of privacy issues with MIUI. If you know anything or have these phones can you tell me your experience? Also if you have the 4a is the screen too small? Thanks.

I really like my Pixel 4a, but I don't consume content on it as often as reviewers claim to be normal.

 

The battery gating is awesome (days where it sits on my desk routinely end with >70% remaining), but again, battery life is something that power users complain about.

 

It's snappy and should get at least two more years of updates. I think I might spring for a top tier camera in my next phone, but it's not because the 4a is bad, I would just like more options.

All " a " series Pixels are absolutely atrocious to use. I would never recommend them to people. If those really are your only choices, I'd take the Redmi and root it.

Slowish compared to today's market it lacks on specs. I guess as mentioned before I am a bit more concerned with security now and evidently hwauei and Xiaomi have had their fair share of controversy.

 

Broken it is incredibly hard to use.

I'd also like to hear your opinion on:

• Ingress protection
• Photo/video quality
• Storage used vs storage capacity on your existing phone
• Frequency of having to charge, and charging times

 

I mean I don't care much about IP rating. I don't have a tendency to drown my phone and I usually use a screen protector for scratches.

If I'm totally honest photo/video quality is nice to have but not a must as I don't take many pictures.

Storage I have is 64GB however I have only used half as of now and don't see me using much more tbh.

Charge once a day, more than enough to last me through the day.

In what way? My 4a is perhaps the best phone I've ever owned
