SAS NAS Server

Hi Guys,

I´m trying to build a nas from some old sas drives i have got laying around.

the only problem is that i dont know witch hardware i should use that don't makes me bankrupt.

Ive already got 34 sas drives (22 2,5" and 12 3,5") and a lot of ddr3 and ddr2 ram.
everything else i would need to buy.

any suggestions ?

What are the rest of the specs?  A file server doesn't need much, grab an old CPU w/ integrated graphics and you're good.

Btw, no need to double post.

Id would hold my giant steam libary Backup and keep it updated .

And if i need a game to play i would just saturate 10 gig and dont need to Download it slowly.

Because my internet is very slow.

And it schould hold all my archival data.

THats just a case. What ram and cpu + board do you have?

How much do you get that case for?

Id probably just get fewer bigger new drives, and sell the old ones.
