GOOD PRICE FOR 1080?

Go to solution Solved by -ism,

It's really not a great price, just average given the current market conditions. Someone offered me $600 for my EVGA 1080. I bought it for $300 a few years ago so you're really not getting a "deal" but it's better than having no gpu.

I've seen a Zotac mini GTX 1080 on Facebook market place for $500 AUD and was wondering if its a good price or not? or I should just wait for prices to drop.

In my opinion it's a reasonable price. Maybe on the cheaper side even.

Defo on the cheaper side. Probably because it is a worse cooler version but still better price than normal.

Do keep in mind I mean with this 1080p144hz at higher settings and 1440p60 at higher settings. 1440p144hz will need medium at least. Based on most new AAA games.

You're not going to find 'good' prices on any GPUs right now; however, this isn't as high as the others. If you're really desperate, it's lower than many I have seen. Be careful though.

yeah i fully understand, do you mean careful with the condition of the gpu or the prices?

Both... Make sure it's a trusted seller, and see if there's some kind of money back guarantee if it's not exactly what the seller promised.

Well if there is an option for a guaranteed moneyback, use it. You may end up with GTX 780 or even worse 1030 or some other sort of low tier GPU with tweaked bios or a bricked GPU with damaged memory/VRMs. The situation is such that although this price isn't good at all by last year's standards, it's a bit suspicious in the the current climate.
