Graphics card situation is annoying

One of my friends has 2 Titan X cards he is using for rendering and animating and yesterday one of his cards died on him and now he can only use one of them and he is trying to get a RTX 3080 and we've been waiting a while for it to come in stock and get it ordered but haven't had any luck yet. I hope this thing slows down soon and graphics cards are easier to get.

There's always stock in my country, pricing may not be appetizing though

But if it's business expenses, it's probably worth it

I can't believe what people are paying on ebay right now; it's double what it was a few months ago. 

 

They could get an entire prebuilt with a 3080 for less than these final sale prices and part out what they don't need. lol wtf

If the card if for one’s livelihood, just eat the damn scalper rates, and write it off as a tax expense. This is probably one of the (very) few times I’d actually recommend buying from a scalper.

Buy a prebuilt pc with the card in it and then you'll have another pc when you can actually buy a card.

This exactly looking to do the same thing just having trouble finding the right couple of cards :p. If it is what makes your livelyhood AND it is a legit business not some cash under the table thing then bite the bullet and buy whichever pops up.
