1200 watt is a bit much

why a sound card ? do you have a receiver (hdmi audio pass through)

If your grave doesn't say "rest in peace" on it You are automatically drafted into the skeleton war.

both were from a older build. just decided to reuse them. After looking at some teksyndicate videos the soundcard wont be in there for long, there a waste.

If that's an OC profile just be sure it's not juicing that chip too hard.

What is the purpose of this HTPC? If all it will be doing is playing 4K video, then this is MASSSSSSIVE overkill. If it'll be a gaming machine as well, then it should do nicely.

4k Gaming..... Wanted to Change How people view a Htpc as static video players. Should it be my gf watching movies or me playing Arma in its glory. High End Pc gaming is not defined behind a desk but anywhere.

While this is true, you should be more specific in your opening post then. An HTPC is not necessarily going to be doing any gaming. The definition for HTPC is so variable since it's different for each implementation. One person has CableCard tuners, another has gaming, a 3rd has fanless low-power, etc.

HTPC/Gaming PC combo is a popular choice for enthusiasts, but if Steam in-home streaming pays off the way they want, then you won't need a high-end gaming PC in the living room for much longer.
