3200 vs 3600? I think I messed up

However I just watched some videos comparing 3200 vs 3600 and it turns out 3600 is better and gives more fps when gaming?

Yes, it does.  But how many fps more?

 

Also, how did you mess up if you haven't ordered yet?  Relax the drama a little   Order 3600MHz RAM and everything will be fine

3600 could be better, but there's not really anything wrong with 3200, and some increased voltage with decreased timings will result in some nice gaming performance

I'm stressing out because I find a part I want then I end up selecting a new one. My ssd for example. I spent all day going through different ones and ended up going with the samsung 980 1TB. It turns out the WD Black 1TB is much faster. So I'm  going crazy again.

 

Even with my CPU cooler. Ugh! I want everything to be perfect.

How is the WD Black faster than the Sammy 980?  Besides the fact that real world they're the same as SATA, but anyway...

it's faster, with tighter timings, if the extra spending is worth the small performance increase then go for it.

The 3600Mhz will be better. There are tests that show that in Ryzen 5th gen, RAM will make a ton of difference. But its not like your going to have terrible computer if you get the 3200Mhz. Nothing bad will happen and it will still work great.

#1 is faster.  Not noticeable, but it is indeed faster.

Why do you need a PRO or PCIe 4.0 level drive?  Are you routinely moving huge ass files around?

 

You may want to research the various SSD formats and real world impact.

I'd prefer 3200CL14 over this. Timings really do matter. 

If you can find 3600CL14 that's the way to go. It's going to be more expensive though. Corsair has an LPX kit that runs at 3600CL14

More than fine.  You can always pay more for a little bit faster, like in all things.  Get that kit and enjoy, it'll perform very well.

The Samsung 980 PRO?  Or regular 980?  I'd get the regular 980 and enjoy.  I mean I run SATA Samsung 860's and haven't had the urge to upgrade, since real world benefits aren't there.

 

Again, if you CAN get the benefit of the PCIe 4.0 drives, then do so.  But in my opinion, if you can... you'd know you can and wouldn't have to ask.  Since you are asking... you don't need em.

Do you NEED the PCI-E 4.0 x4 speed of the Samsung 980 Pro / WD SN850?

What are you using the PC for?

 

Gaming + streaming?

If that is what, you are doing, you could just get the PCI-E 3.0 x4 version... like the WD SN750 for cheaper.

 

The ADVERTISED 7000 MB/s and 5300 MB/s read and write is SEQUENTIAL read and write performance.

Most day-to-day is RANDOM read and write.

Unless you are moving big files around, you won't be seeing / using the advertised 7000 MB/s and 5300 MB/s.

Not by much. Maybe, say, 3-4 fps more, but not enough to be noticeable. You'll be fine if you already ordered, if not it isn't too important what you choose.
