OLED Safety Settings for Windows 10

Blizzforte

I've already hidden the taskbar, but what about the static tabs and taskbars in the browser? And the desktop, can it stay the same or should I auto-change it?

Desktop should be changing or leave it black.

Don't leave any window in one place for too long.

Turn on screensaver with 1 minute activation.

Best thing is to not use an OLED for normal desktop use. The Burn-in worries are often overblown but on the other hand it is a very real problem.

(I assume you're talking about an expensive OLED TV)

It will burn-in in about 5000 hours.

Chrome burn-in on mine doing what we are doing now.

Now I use a 49" LG NanoCell 85(120hz HDMI 2.1) for general computing and the OLEDs game and do TV.

I have a laptop with an OLED display. I've selected a screensaver that disables the screen after one minute. About the windows: browsing in full screen for hours is just the nature of browsing the web... But perhaps it's enough to just change from browsing to desktop from time to time.

Set desktop backgrounds to change every 30 seconds. Have a wide range of backgrounds in the rotation list.

Alternatively get hold of 'Wallpaper Engine' from Steam and use animated backgrounds, changing backgrounds, and transparent icons.

Auto-hide taskbar (u already did this)

Hide your desktop icons (if u dont use wallpaper engine for transparency)

For windows, such as your browser, get into the habit of NOT opening it up 'maximized', instead set the size urself and move it around the screen every so often.

(i've been doing this for over 10 years now as i use a Plasma, it sounds a pain but once it become habit,, u wont notice ur doing it)

Set a screensaver as well, the basic windows 'Mystify' screensaver will do.

Thanks for the advice. I've set the screensaver to 1 minute but I chose the "empty" option that just turns off the display. Hope that also works?
