The Queen of England buys her PC goodies from Scan Computers

This is the first instance I've come across of an IT related company apart from Samsung who have been granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment.

Basically it means that you have to supply the royal family with goods or services for 5 consecutive years.

 

It was in this month's ScanZone email, but they were granted it on Jan 1 2014.

 

So yeah, how many computer retailers can say they are endorsed by a monarch?

I wonder if the old girl has ordered herself a Titan Z? :lol:

seriously she probably uses a mac, the royal family actually have lots of events throught the year and have multiple people to talk to and write emails to etc and while money isnt a big issue its also likely to not be a non-issue. they will want something that they can just use (fwiw i dont like apple but i know the type of people that use them)
no doubt prince harry have been console gamers when they're not actively on duty, they'll want to kick back and do some gaming and probably dont have the time to get into tech like the rest of us.
the irony is it means the royal family are more than likely console peasants...

My boss had a friend who built a rich guy his gaming and home theater rig. Rich people don't use macs, they get someone to build them a home network with every computer possible. They probably do have a mac book but only for emails because that is all they can do.

My boss had a friend who built a rich guy his gaming and home theater rig. Rich people don't use macs, they get someone to build them a home network with every computer possible. They probably do have a mac book but only for emails because that is all they can do.

 

Gaming and home theater are not suited as well to Mac as they are to Windows PC in my opinion.
